What’s New? 3 short videos featuring Pearson residents who want you to learn more about them and their life at George Pearson Centre.

Welcome to the website of the residents of George Pearson Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

George Pearson Centre (GPC) is home to approximately 120 residents who live with a range of physical disabilities. Some residents have lived at the Centre all of their adult life. Some are relatively new residents, while many others expect to live out their life in the facility. Not all residents want to live at GPC. Many are compelled to live here because there are not enough disability supports like accessible affordable housing and home support to allow them to live in their own homes.

GPC is unique in the City of Vancouver as it is situated on 19 acres of rolling hills, pathways, trees, grass and shrubs. The services offered at Pearson are also unique in the province because they include specialized support for people living with ventilators as well as on-site occupational and physiotherapy, and a computer centre.

This web site will give you an opportunity to have a look into the lives, the hopes and the dreams of George Pearson Centre residents. It will also give all of the residents a chance to look out at the world by connecting with the visitors to this site through emails and blogs. Please tour our site and learn more about the diverse community of residents at George Pearson Centre.
